I'm glad you mentioned the French and Indian War's 250th anniversary. (I'm a publicist working on the book side of this project.) In addition to the French and Indian War, this is the 250th anniversary of Pittsburgh and the Forbes Trail, carved out of the Pennsylvania wilderness. It stretches from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh. Pennsylvania's Forbes Trail: Gateways and Getaways along the Legendary Route from Philadelphia to Pittsburgh is a 200-page illustrated guide to the trail, then and now.
